Brooklyn still leads. The Four Horsemen in Williamsburg set a template — a wine bar built on natural producers, with excellent food and an easy room — that a lot of places have followed since.
For bottles, Discovery Wines in the East Village says natural on its own site.
The Lower East Side is the densest stretch. The Ten Bells and Wildair are a short walk apart, both say natural on their own sites, and you could do both in a night. Brooklyn has its own Ten Bells too: The Ten Bells Brooklyn, in Bushwick.
Pro tip: skip the obvious places on a Friday night. Go Tuesday. The staff are less rushed and more likely to talk you through the list.
